Dorothy Jean Davis

Dorothy J. Davis, 65 of West Union departed this life on Thursday, May 8, 2014 in the United Hospital Center, Bridgeport. She was born on August 9, 1948 in Harrison County a daughter of the late Boyd and Isabelle Varner Weekley. She is preceded in death by her husband Edward Hugh "Cub" Davis.

Surviving is one sister Susan Smith, Clarksburg, and two brothers, Jerry Weekley, Salem and Larry Weekley, West Union. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Patty Weekley and Betty Ross.

Mrs. Davis was a homemaker and enjoyed watching western movies and making candy.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front. St. West Union on Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at 1:00PM with Pastor Gilbert Neely presiding. Interment will follow in the 7th Day Baptist Church Cemetery, Middle Island. Friends will be received in the funeral home chapel after 11AM on Tuesday until time of service.
