Doris "Dot" Louise Fluharty

Doris Louise "Dot" Fluharty, 88 of Blue Jay Lane West Union departed this life on Monday, February 10, 2020 at the home of her daughter. She was born on September 5, 1931 on East Run, Doddridge County to the late Ora and Lola Frashure Hill. On May 1, 1954 she married Warren Fluharty who preceded her in death on February 12, 2000.



Surviving are two daughters, Pamela Bankert, West Union, Linda Phillips and husband Craig, Buckhannon, grandchildren, Kelly Gain, Amy Moore and husband Doug, Megan Bennett and husband Jimmy, great grandchildren, Haley and Alayna McCormick, Conner and Noah Moore, Isabella, Preston and Francesca Bennett, great great granddaughter, Lyla Wharton. One great granddaughter, Chloe McCormick, two brothers, Jack and Kermit Hill, two sisters, Celesta Bennett and Patricia Broadwater preceded her in death.



Dot was a graduate of Doddridge County High School and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.



Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Michael Broadwater presiding. Interment will follow in Shirley Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 from 4-8 p.m. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Fluharty family.
