Donald Hall Obituary

Donald Lee Hall, 84 of Walnut St. West Union departed this life on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at his residence. He was born in Bridgeport on November 11, 1933 a son of the late Maynard D. and Thelma R. Sutton Hall. Twice married he was preceded in death by his first wife the mother of his children, Martha Reider Hall. On November 14, 1984 he married Pauline Gum Maxwell Hall who survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Linda McClure and husband Edwin, Tallmansville, one son, Ronald Hall and wife Teresa, Horner, five grandchildren, Angela Webb, Melissa Helmick, Samantha Matheny, John Snyder Jr. and Sarah Elizabeth Hall, five great grandchildren, one sister, Shirley Masto, Bridgeport, one brother, Gary Hall, Shinnston, one aunt, Cecil Jackson Crimm, Clarksburg and several nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death is one son, Donald C. Hall, one daughter, Betty J. McCoy, step children, David B. Maxwell, Judith Ann Costilow, three brothers, Larry, Charles and John Robert Hall, and his uncle Dale Crimm.

Don retired from Compton Roofing as a sheet metal worker with over 30 years service. He was a U. S. Army Veteran serving during the Korean Conflict. Don was a member of the Doddridge County Lions Club, Avon Church and had attended the West Union Christian Church.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Friday, December 29, 2017 at 1:00PM with Pastor Joseph Schneider presiding. Interment will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, West Union. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, December 29, 2017 after 11AM until time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Doddridge County Lioins Club C/O Linda Bonnell, 91 Blockhouse Dr. West Union, WV 26456.
