Diane Elizabeth (Cool) Kress Bennett

Diane Elizabeth Cool Kress Bennett, 73, of West Union, passed away at her daughters home from an extended illness on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. She was born on March 16, 1951 in Hanover, PA a daughter of the late Norman and Carol Godfrey Cool.

Diane is survived by her daughter, Susan Diane Hudkins and her husband Travis of West Union; two grandsons, Richard (Richie) Allen Rebert and wife Christina and there daughter Zoe, Diane’s great grand daughter of West Milford and Ryan Austin Rebert and partner Cheilo, Ryan’s sons and Diane's great grandson’s, Ryan Allen Rebert and Lucas Austin Rebert of West Union.  

In addition to her parents, Diane was also preceded in death by her daughter Wendy Michelle Kress on September 25, 1970 at 1 year 11 months old and a son Allen Gordon Bennett on August 25, 2011.

Diane attended South Western High School in Havover, PA. She worked as an independent contractor for catholic schools picking up children taking them to school and home and she had two drivers that worked for her that drove her vans. Diane also had her own flower business where she grew her own flowers, cut and dried them and made beautiful arrangements to take to craft shows. Diane had to stop doing all of that in 1987 and became the main caretaker of her son when he broke his neck in a school swimming accident and became a quadriplegic. Diane was his main caretaker until 2011. She also enjoyed eating out.

Diane’s daughter Susan would like to take this time to thank all of her mom’s hospice nurses and her aid for all the help and support they gave her and to Davis Funeral Home and all of Susan’s friends.

Diane’s wishes was to be cremated so there will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her Care Fund on her memorial page.
