David “Joe” Bunting

David “Joe” Bunting, 83, of West Union, passed away on Sunday, August 04, 2024 at his residence. He was born on October 10, 1940 in Shirley, WV, a son of the late Cecil Grant and Mabel Marie Kimball Bunting.

Joe worked as a tree trimmer for Aspen and Mon Power. He enjoyed fishing, hunting yellow root and ginseng.

Joe is survived by his brother, Cecil Ray Bunting (Lenora) of Smithburg, WV; Donald James Bunting (Kay) of North Carolina and Donna Jean Randolph (Lawrence) of WV; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his wife on March 14, 2017, Patricia J. Bunting; one son, David Joe Bunting, Jr.; siblings, Alice Marie Sisson, Victor O’Neil Bunting, Anna May Randolph, John Alexander Bunting, Phillip Lorn Bunting, Pasty Lea Trader, Linda Lou Randolph, Diane Kay Randolph, Maxine Fay Schoolcraft, and Clare Faye Jones.
