Cynthia Means Obituary

Cynthia Rose Means, 50, of New Milton passed away suddenly surrounded by her family in the early morning hours of May 27, 2018 at United Hospital Center. She was a member of Blacklick Baptist Church and had a passion for Christ.

Cynthia is survived by her husband, Kevin; her three children, Jordan ( Charise) Joseph, Justin Joseph and Jenna (Malachi) Shank; two step daughters, Cassidy and Kayla Means; parents, Buck and Violet Payton Sandstrom; two brothers, Phillip and Mick Syck; five sisters, Ersa Skjerli, Martha Jones, Valerie Dimick, Mary Laster and Myla Thorpe; father and mother in-law, Clinton and Nancy Means; two uncles, Dale and Alan Payton; and her german shepherd, Maggie.

Cindy was a Doddridge County native who loved Jesus, her family, a fresh cup of coffee and fishing. She never met a stranger and wouldn't hesitate to give the shirt off her back to someone in need. Her goal in life was to be a good wife, mother and a soul winner, all of which she surpassed by a country mile. She will be dearly missed.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union on Friday, June 1, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Chuck Travis presiding. Interment will be in the Camp Serenity Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, May 31, 2018 from 4-8 PM and after 9 AM Friday until time of services.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to: COPD Foundation, 3300 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, FL 33134.
