Charles “Chuck” Beagle Obituary

Charles “Chuck” Beagle, 90 years old, left this life on August 24, 2025 at home.  He was born in “Happy Hollow” Pleasants County on October 25, 1934 to Clifford and Velma (Little) Beagle.

He leaves behind his wife of 56 years, Roberta Beagle; son, Michael Beagle, daughter, Tracie Beagle, daughter, Jessie Wagers, and daughter Jessica Payne.  There are five grandchildren and six great grandchildren. There are several nieces and nephews.  He was also an “adopted” granddad to the Bonita Hood family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Violet and Zane Dulaney, brother John Beagle and brother Donald Richard Beagle.

He gave service to his country for 25 years, most of the time at sea on battle-ready ships, retiring in 1977 as a Lieutenant in the US Navy.  He later was manager for Babcock and Wilcox engineering office in Cincinnati, Ohio for 14 years.  Charles was a member of the Church of Christ in Pennsboro WV, previously of West Union Church of Christ.  He was a Bible teacher, song leader, deacon and elder.  He loved the Lord and his church.  Charles and Roberta moved to Doddridge County in 1994, starting a business in 2000, breeding, raising and training registered Paint horses.  Over the years we were blessed with good friends and neighbors.

Chuck was a kind and generous man, loved baby children and animals, a loyal friend and loving husband.  He will be missed by all.

Davis Funeral Home and Crematory West Union is handling the cremation and honored to serve the Beagle family.  Online condolences may be made at www.DavisFuneralHomeWestUnionWV.com.
