Brent Douglas Smarr

Brent Smarr, 34, of West Union departed this life on Sunday, March 30, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown. He was born October 11, 1979 in Clarksburg a son of Jack Smarr and Darlene Ross Smarr, West Union. Surviving are his father Jack Smarr and wife Nancy, his mother Darlene Smarr and companion Chuck Clark, West Union.

Surviving is one son Ryder Jackson Smarr and his mother Cynthia Damron, West Union, sisters, Jackie LeBel and fianc Dustin Britton, West Union, Bridgette "Gic" Greaver and companion, Michael W. Swisher, West Union, Anita "Poki" Johnston and husband Sean, Wheeling, Jessyca Hayes and husband Denny, West Union, half brother, Greg Nicholson, Grantsville, adopted sister, Sandi Lipscomb, West Union, nieces, Lori Mayle and husband Rocky, Erika Hall and husband M.T., Seanna Johnston, Kyla and Emily Hayes, Tara and Amy Nicholson, nephews, John Michael Barnes, Cody Greaver, Addison and Hayden Johnston and Axl Hayes, great nieces and nephews, Olivia Mayle, Trayton Cooper, Harper Hall and Johnna Barnes. One sister preceded him in death Debbie Smarr Barnes and several aunts, uncles, cousins and special friends.

Brent was employed by FTE Networks as a Communications Specialist. He enjoyed, motor cross racing, fishing, hunting, trapping and all outdoors activities. Brent was a loving father, son, brother and uncle and will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 212 Front St. West Union on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 at 2:00PM with Pastor Dallas Waggle presiding. Interment will follow in Freeman Cemetery, Crystal Lake. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, April 2, 2014 after 11AM until time of service.
