Billy Wanstreet Obituary

Billy Lee Wanstreet, 73 of Mineral Wells departed this life on Sunday, August 18, 2019 in Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born on August 31, 1946 in Salem a son of the late Garland Brooks Wanstreet and Mae Ellen McClure Wanstreet. He is survived by his wife Winifred Emma Jane McClain Wanstreet.



Also surviving are one son William Heath Wanstreet and wife Melanie, Arbuckle, CA, one step daughter, Kelly Cavall and husband Robert, Slatington, PA, two step sons, Greg Glaspell, Harrisville, Eric Glaspell, Salem, grandchildren, Wyatt and his wife Yeni, Keith and Cara Cavall, Ashley Glaspell, Brandy Sobina and husband Frank Sobina III and Autumn Marsh, great grandchildren, Leah Schmitt, Kaylie and Lyla Sobina, one sister, Debbie McClung, Salem, two brothers, Fred Wanstreet, Pennsboro, Frank Wanstreet, Salem. One sister, Sue Wanstreet Golden, and one brother, Charlie Wanstreet preceded him in death.



Mr. Wanstreet worked for Pennzoil Oil Company as a Truck Driver and Terminal Manager with 35 year's service. He retired from Ergon Trucking as a Terminal Manager with 10 year's service. He was a graduate of Doddridge County where he was the recipient of Athlete of the Year Award. Billy was a member of First Baptist Church of Belmont.



Funeral services will be conducted in the Spurgeon Funeral Home 56 Front St. West Union on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Scott McGraw presiding. Interment will follow in the K of P Memorial Park, Salem. The family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Friday, August 23, 2019 from 4-8 p.m. Spurgeon Funeral Home is privileged to serve the Wanstreet family.
