Althea M. Cass

Althea M. Cass, 90, of West Union departed this life on Wednesday, August 8, 2012 in Salem Care and Rehabilitation Center. She was born August 30, 1921 in Perrysville, Ohio a daughter of the late William Harvey and Sarah Katherine Robinson Bowen. She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald H. Cass.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Eddie Eureta Underwood, New Milton, Mrs. Kevin Edna Boyce, Morgans Run Community, West Union, three adopted sons, Delbert Russell Cass, Parkersburg, Charles Eugene Cass, West Union, Shaun Leroy Cass, Crystal Lake Community, West Union, 15 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Ellen Bowen and two brothers, Fred Bowen and Cloyd Bowen.

Mrs. Cass was a member of the Faith Baptist Church, West Union. She was a loving mother and grandmother and will be sadly missed by her family.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 10, 2012 at 1PM in the Spurgeon Funeral Home, 212 Front St., West Union with Pastor David McCauley presiding. Interment will follow in the Ruley Cemetery on Arnolds Creek. Family will receive friends in the funeral home chapel on Thursday, August 9, 2012 from 4-8PM and after 9AM on Friday until time of service.
