Albert Glenn Richards, 75, of Smithton Road, Smithburg community departed this life on Monday, March 31, 2014 in his residence. He was born April 24, 1938 in Greenbrier a son of the late Edward Gilbert and Mildred Virginia Hayes Richards.Surviving are daughter, Mary Janette Nicholson, Salem, sons, Albert Lynn Richards, Smithburg,Mark Allen Richards, Smithburg, Edward Gilbert Richards, KY, sisters, Geraldine Barker, West Union, Minnie Davis, Salem, brothers, Francis Hayes, West Union, Bud Hayes, Salem, Everett Hayes, VA, grandchildren, Samantha Richards, Erica Hyde, Benjamin Richards, Amber Richards Jordan, Cierra Dawn Jones, Anthony Lewis Jones, great grandchildren, Candice Barr, Colton Barr, Marcus Hyde, Caylee Hyde, Timmothy Hyde, Wesley and Wyatt Morrison, Marcus Jordon, Taylor Richards and Shawn Bowen. He was preceded in death by daughter, Rosetta Annetta Richards, mother of his children, Mary Francis McKinney, sisters, Doris Gillespie anmd Betty Griffin.Albert had worked for Nesler Well Service and Sante Fe Drilling as a rig worker and Smith Lumber Company. He loved hunting and fishing. He was a United States Navy veteran serving 1953-1957.
