A. McIntyre Obituary

Allie Dorthella McIntyre, 95 of Big Flint Rd. West Union went home to be with Jesus on Wednesday April 22, 2015 at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born on January 19, 1920 at Morgansville a daughter of the late John Harden and Versus Davis Ashcraft. On April 1, 1979 she married Howard McIntyre who preceded her in death on May 11, 1981.

Surviving is a sister-in-law, Ruby Ashcraft, West Union, niece, Trella Griffin Stubbs and family, three nephews, Arden H. Ashcraft, James Ashcraft, and Donald Griffin all of Clarksburg, two great nephews, James K. Ashcraft and wife Beverly, two great nieces, Donna Ashcraft-Mckneely, Valerie Rowe, Fairmont, great great niece, Bridget Collier, two great great nephews, Jeremiah Ashcraft and John Mark Ashcraft, they were the joy of her life and her special caregiver and friend, Evelyn Schmidt. She was also survived by four step daughters and two step grandsons. She was preceded In death by three brothers, Arden, Hiram and Harley Ashcraft, one sister, Delcy Griffin, one nephew, Harden Griffin, one step son, Kenneth McIntyre, one step daughter, Lois Cheney, one step grandson, Mike Hode.r

Mrs. McIntyre was a homemaker and loved to farm. She always took care of her family and in the end her family took care of her. She was a member of Morgan's Run U.B. Church and later attended Chestnut Grove Church. Dorthella enjoyed reading her Bible and spending time with her family.
